Oct 27, 2020 Fr. David Couturier, OFM. Cap., associate professor of theology and director of the Franciscan Institute at St. Bonaventure, published a peer-reviewed article in Cross Currents 70:2 (2020), 131-144. 

The article, "The Surveillance of the Victim: Visibility, Privacy and the Crisis of Bodies in Franciscan Thought," reviews the rapid acceleration and assemblage of personal data and the increase of surveillance by governments and corporations without our personal control or review. 

This work contributes to a theology of surveillance and privacy using Francis of Assisi's crisis over bodies as a positive contribution to dialogue in this emerging field of interest.
