St. Bonaventure University

Intramural Sports

Intramurals, along with club sports, are the most popular student activities on the St. Bonaventure campus. Nearly 80 percent of the student body participates in either intramurals, club sports or recreation center activities.

Intramural sports bring the campus together to participate in friendly competition among SBU student teams. The goal of intramural sports is to provide the students the opportunity to participate in organized, competitive recreational sports, regardless of one's athletic ability.

Intramural sports promote sportsmanship and social growth through various individual and team sports. The intramural schedule consists of leagues, tournaments, and special events. Any student enrolled in 12 credits or more can participate in intramurals.

We offer the following intramural sports:

  • badminton
  • basketball
  • cornhole
  • disc golf
  • dodgeball
  • flag football
  • floor hockey
  • golf
  • indoor soccer
  • kickball
  • pickleball
  • tennis
  • volleyball
  • wiffleball
  • Intramural sports are played on the athletic fields at the south end of campus and in our indoor fitness and recreational facility, the Sandra A. and William L Richter Center. Golf is played on our own St. Bonaventure Golf Course, located right across the street from campus.
