BORROWING MATERIALS

Authorized library users, including current students, faculty, staff, and alumni, can borrow many materials from the library.

The circulation department is located at the entrance of the Library. The "front desk" is the first thing you see when entering the Library. Here is where you check out and return all books and reserve material. Bring your St. Bonaventure University ID card to use all library services.

Loan Periods

The loan period is 28 days for all undergraduate students. Graduate and honors students may keep books for one semester.

Faculty members may keep books for one year.

Exceptions: Curriculum Center books are loaned for 14 days for everyone, including faculty, graduate and honors students. Reserve items circulate for 2 to 24 hours, depending upon the item. Audio-visual material is loaned for 7 days, and videos can be borrowed for 3 days.

Recalls

If you have something checked out that another patron needs, you will be contacted and asked to return the material. However, we will not ask you to return something unless you have already had it for at least 14 days.

Lost Books

If you should lose a book, the replacement cost is $50 per book.
