With a capital G, Giving Day at St. Bonaventure University was a giant success.

Generous donors helped the university raise nearly $617,000 on Tuesday, March 4, easily surpassing its $400,000 goal on the 10th anniversary of the annual day of giving to the Bonaventure Fund.

“In just my 10th month serving as VP for Advancement at SBU, I continue to be amazed and inspired by the passionate support exhibited by Bonnies,” said J. Michael Pressimone. “Our faithful alumni and donors make all the difference and make a bright future possible for St. Bonaventure.”

The day was highlighted by multiple matches and challenges as a way to engage alumni, faculty, staff and friends of the university. Successful challenges included everything from class years to alumni who roomed together in the same residence halls during their time at St. Bonaventure.

“The Bonaventure family came out in full force to help us reach and surpass our one-day giving goal like never before,” said William Mosier-Peterson, director of Annual Giving. “I truly appreciate all the support in making our 10th Bona Giving Day an overwhelming success."
