Free paint recycling event June 6 at SBU

Cattaraugus County and St. Bonaventure are teaming up to host a Free Paint Recycling Event on Saturday, June 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on campus in the Francis Hall parking lot.


Don’t let old paint cans take up space! Cattaraugus County and St. Bonaventure are teaming up to host a free paint recycling event on Saturday, June 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on campus in the Francis Hall parking lot. 

The event will accept unlimited amounts of latex and oil-based paint, stains and deck coatings for professional recycling. This is a convenient, drive-through event - you don't even have to leave your car. Sign up for a drop-off time at the link below.

  • Location: St. Bonaventure University (Francis Hall Parking Lot on Clare Road). Enter from West State Street onto Francis Road. 
  • Acceptable Materials: House paint, stains, primers and sealers. (No aerosols or solvents).
  • Condition: Items must be in their original containers with a visible label.
  • Cost: Free for all New York residents and businesses. 

This partnership allows for unlimited collection of latex and oil-based products, which are then processed into new, eco-friendly GreenSheen paint at the company's New York manufacturing facility.

    Step aboard the Miss Buffalo II for a scenic sightseeing cruise and experience Buffalo’s past, present, and future from a truly unique vantage point. The tour begins on the Buffalo River near the historic 1833 lighthouse and winds through Lake Erie and the Black Rock Canal. Along the way, you’ll explore the story of the Peace Bridge, pass one of the oldest yacht clubs in the nation, and view a rare waterfront boathouse designed by the legendary Frank Lloyd Wright.
     
    Join fellow alumni and special guest President Jeff Gingerich for an evening of sightseeing, networking, and summer fun on Buffalo’s waterfront.

    Check-in at 5:30 p.m. at Erie Basin Marina
    329 Erie Street, Buffalo, NY 14202
    Boarding begins at 6 p.m. sharp.

    Cost: $30 per person, which includes food, beer, wine, and soft drinks.
    Registration Deadline: July 10
    Must be 21 years or older. Valid ID may be required.
