At their May Board meeting, trustees approved the appointments of Edwin “Ed” Evans, ’85; James Helms, ’95, ’18; Lisa (Melillo) Molinaro, ’81; and  Fr. Thomas Nairn, O.F.M. They will be officially sworn in at the September Board meeting.

Board chair Michael Hickey, vice chairs Carol Schumacher, ’78, and Steve Barry, ’88, and secretary Fr. Dan Horan, O.F.M., ’05, were re-elected to the Board’s executive committee.

Evans spent his career in the printing industry, beginning in 1985 when he joined Eastman Kodak. He retired as CEO of West-Camp Press in 2019. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the university.

Helms has served as CEO of Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville, New York, since 2021. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from St. Bonaventure in 1995 and an MBA in 2018.

Fr. Thomas is a sought-after and globally recognized lecturer on moral theology, especially health care ethics. He serves as vice chair of the Board of Regents of the Franciscan School of Theology at the University of San Diego and most recently served as provincial minister of the Sacred Heart Province until its integration into the Our Lady of Guadalupe Province.
