St. Bonaventure University’s finance program has been ranked in the top 10% in the U.S. for value by College Factual, one of the nation’s leading college ranking services.

The program ranked 36th out of 378 programs in the United States on College Factual’s “Best for the Money” list, up eight spots from 2018.

Out of the 23 colleges in New York that offer a finance degree, St. Bonaventure ranked fifth.

St. Bonaventure is accredited by the Association for the Advancement of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Only 5% of business schools worldwide hold this elite accreditation.

“In addition to its leadership, faculty and staff, St. Bonaventure’s School of Business is successful in large part because of its incredibly supportive alumni,” said Bob Van Wicklin, vice president for Advancement at SBU. “Many of the accountants, CEOs, managers, financial advisers and others who have graduated from SBU are fiercely loyal to the institution they feel prepared them to excel in the business world.”

Based upon PayScale survey data, students graduating from St. Bonaventure with a major in finance earn, on average, $42,688 right out of college and $63,568 by the midpoint of their careers.

College Factual’s “Best for the Money” ranking takes into account the average yearly cost of the school, the average time students take to graduate, and the quality the school provides to students.
