Apr 3, 2019

Four distinguished alumni of St. Bonaventure University will be inducted into the Seneca Battalion Hall of Fame Saturday as part of a daylong celebration for the university’s ROTC program.

The day opens with the spring awards ceremony for student cadets at 10 a.m. in the University Chapel in Doyle Hall and ends in the Robert R. Jones Trustees Room in Doyle with the annual Military Ball beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Following the spring awards ceremony at 11:30 a.m. will be the 22nd annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony, this year honoring:

  • Frank Morales, Master Sergeant (Ret.), U.S. Army, Class of 2013, MSEd; Morales is director of St. Bonaventure’s Office of Veterans Services.
  • Kevin O’Connor, U.S. Army, Colonel (Ret.), Class of 1988
  • Henry J. Sanford, Captain, U.S. Navy (Ret.), Class of 1973
  • Stephen F. Wilder Sr., Commander, U.S. Navy (Ret.), Class of 1968

The Seneca Battalion Hall of Fame was established in 1997 by the Seneca Battalion Alumni Affinity in cooperation with the current cadre and cadets. Any current or former Seneca Battalion cadet or cadre member can nominate people for membership.

Following the Hall of Fame ceremony, a grand opening ribbon cutting will be held in ROTC’s new department offices in the basement of Doyle Hall.

The campus community is invited to the award and induction ceremonies and the ribbon cutting.
