    This gathering is not just about supporting our team; it's an opportunity to come together and show solidarity with the community following the recent devastating hurricanes.

    We recognize the strength and determination it takes to recover from such events, and we want to take this chance to be present in the area, connect with our alumni, families, and friends, and let you know that we stand with you.

    This milestone event will bring together alumni, faculty, current students, and distinguished guests to honor the legacy and achievements of the SIMM program over the past two decades. It will be a day filled with insightful discussions, networking opportunities, and a celebration of the program’s impact on shaping the future leaders in finance and portfolio management.

    A block of tickets has been reserved for the men’s basketball game in the Reilly Center at 4 p.m. against Buffalo. Please purchase your ticket here. This link will expire on Dec. 5.

Mark Twain: The Roughin' It Years

In April 1861, 25-year-old Sam Clemens (alias Twain) was “livin’ large” in New Orleans and working his dream job as a riverboat pilot. And then, in the blink of an eye, his life changed forever. With the outbreak of the Civil War, the Mississippi River closed to commerce. Sam lost his lucrative career, and, being somewhat faint-hearted, feared that if he stayed in New Orleans he would be coerced to join either the Union or Confederate Navy. What to do?
