Three St. Bonaventure students inducted into National Spanish Honor Society Sigma Delta Pi

Three St. Bonaventure University students were inducted into the Xi Delta Chapter of the National Spanish Honor Society Sigma Delta Pi Nov. 21.

Chapter adviser Dr. Leigh A. Simone, assistant professor of modern languages, conducted the induction. The new members of Sigma Delta Pi are Kyra Burgess of Groveland, New York, Spencer Carbone of Somers, Connecticut, and Elizabeth Somelofske of Hackettstown, New Jersey.

Current members in attendance were Joshua Little, JC Aponte and Nolan Ditcher.

Founded in 1919, Sigma Delta Pi is the largest international foreign language society in the world, with more than 540 chapters, and the only honor society devoted exclusively to students of Spanish in four-year colleges and universities.
