Dr. Brian Stevens, adjunct instructor and director of SBU's choral and vocal music, was the guest conductor for the Connecticut Music Educators Southern Region Treble Choir Festival at Naugatuck High School on Jan. 19 and 20, 2024.

Stevens worked with more than 100 high school treble singers for two days.

The program featured the music of underrepresented living composers including Edie Hill, Marques L.A. Garrett, Elaine Hagenberg, Anna Cedarberg-Orreteg, and Dale Trumbore.

Stevens is one of 53 international professional conductors, and one of only four in the U.S., to serve as founding members of the World Choral Conductors Network organization.
