SBU Christmas Concert set for Dec. 3 in the Quick Center for the Arts on campus

The Department of Visual and Performing Arts at St. Bonaventure University will present its annual Christmas Concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, in Rigas Family Theater of the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts on campus.
 
The SBU Jazz Band, directed by Dr. Leslie Sabina, professor of music and VPA department chair, will perform “Let It Snow,” “Greensleeves,” and “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” with the latter featuring freshman vocalist Ryan Addeo.
 
The SBU Concert Choir and SBU Chamber Singers, under the direction of Dr. Brian Stevens, director of choral and vocal music, will also perform several selections, including a combined choir selection.
 
From the applied music studio of Laura Peterson, assistant professor of music, there will be selections performed by pianists Chris Osgood and Tharini Nagarkar, and violinist Hannah Farquharson.
 
In addition, Dr. Ed. Simone, professor of theater and director of the theater program, will read “Christmas Morning” from Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” with piano accompaniment from Professor Peterson.
 
The concert is free and open to the public.
