			TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

			CURRENT RESEARCH INTERESTS/PROJECTS

I’m focused on creating opportunities to support contemporary female-identifying choral composers, through commissioning projects, grants, recording projects, scholarly research and publishing, and through innovative performance. Similarly, I am
also active with the choral music from the Nordic and Baltic countries, fostering relationships with numerous conductors, composers, ensembles, and publishers throughout Europe. My goal is to build bridges that allow choral communities in North America
to collaborate with those in Europe, creating an inclusive and diverse global network of cultural exchange, artistry, and innovation.

			PERSONAL INTERESTS/COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

When not making music or teaching, I enjoy engaging with various communities through birdwatching, hiking, fly fishing, cooking, spending time with family and friends, and world travel.
