Pine Grove Dual Enrollment Program

St. Bonaventure University's Dual Enrollment Program at the Pine Grove Educational Center in Warren, Pa., enables Warren County School District juniors and seniors to earn college credit and a college experience while completing high school.

A full range of classes are taught on location by St. Bonaventure University professors, and students are held to the same standards as college students.

Students have the option of participating in the program full time (12 or more credit hours) or part time (fewer than 12 hours).

Those who complete the program often begin their post-high school education with enough credits to have the academic standing of a college sophomore or junior. At the very least, they earn general education credits, allowing them to dive right into courses directly related to their degree.

A real college feel

You're a college student, with the same responsibilities and expectations as any other college student. If you're a hard worker and up for the challenge, this is a great way to meet new people and prepare for college.

Physics and chemistry labs provide a hands-on learning environment for students. A lounge area with couches, a flat-screen television, and a kitchen area are also provided.

A wireless high-speed Internet connection is available throughout the facility. Computers are available for student use, however it is recommended that students have their own personal laptop computer.

Tuition & Costs

Scholarships and aid more than cut in half the normal per credit-hour tuition rate.

Tuition for juniors and seniors entering the Pine Grove program for the 2023-2024 school year is $630 per credit hour. The average class is 3 credit-hours, or $1,890, plus the cost of textbooks.

This discounted per credit-hour price is available thanks to the St. Bonaventure University scholarship for $630 per credit-hour for Warren County School District students, and a $100 per credit-hour scholarship from the Community Foundation of Warren County. No student pays more than $530 per credit-hour.

Please note that the cost per student depends on the amount of scholarships and outside funding the student receives. Students are responsible for tuition costs not met by scholarships and other aid.

Students who are interested in the program but cannot meet its costs should contact a program representative to see if other assistance is available. The Community Foundation of Warren County has set up an additional needs-based scholarship program.
