Dr. Samantha Gavin, assistant professor of criminology, participated in a panel presentation titled "The Influence of Mixed Media Preference on Crime Engagement and Incarceration" at a recent Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences conference.

 

Gavin accompanied six students to the conference and presented with student Emma Kostenbader.

 

Gavin was also presented with the Alpha Phi Sigma (APS) National Criminal Justice Honor Society Advisor of the Year award. She is also guest co-editor for a special issue of the journal Crime & Delinquency on gender-based violence.
