Research conducted by Dr. Gregory Privitera, psychology professor at St. Bonaventure University, and two class of 2013 SBU alumni is featured in today's Wall Street Journal.
Their work was featured in a
Journal Life section column about five different health-related research studies; it's the third study discussed in the article.
The study done by Privitera,
Jaela Agnello and Shelby Walters was titled Randomized Feedback About Diagnosis Influences Statistical and Clinical Significance of Self-Report ADHD Assessment in Adults.
Published in the Journal of Attention Disorders, the SBU study suggests that attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder could be misdiagnosed in young adults who may privately think they have ADHD.
Walters and Agnello earned bachelor's degrees in psychology and are in graduate school.
