PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
I am an accomplished academic professional with over four years of teaching experience in higher education. Previously, I served as an Assistant Professor of Business at Wells College, specializing in Management and Marketing. Currently, I teach at St. Bonaventure University and serve as an Adjunct Professor at Underwood University, primarily instructing M.B.A. students. My teaching journey has taken me across borders, with experience in the USA, Australia, and Bangladesh, both in traditional classrooms and online settings.
Throughout my career, I have successfully managed classrooms of varying sizes, from 25 to 70 students, covering a broad range of subjects, including Principles of Management, Introduction to Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Organizational Behavior, Strategic Management, Operations Management, Strategic Marketing Management, Leadership in a Global Society, Business Ethics, and Introduction to Human Resource Management.
My dedication to teaching excellence is reflected in consistently high student evaluations (4/5) at both institutions. I was also honored with a "Teaching Excellence" certificate from Kappa Delta Pi in recognition of my contributions to education.
In addition to my academic career, I bring over six years of professional experience in the Banking and Retail sectors, with a diverse background spanning Bangladesh, the United States, and Australia.

TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
Teaching doesn’t have to be boring—nor does learning. I believe education should be an engaging, dynamic process that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and real-world application. My approach emphasizes interactive learning, where students actively participate in discussions, case studies, and experiential exercises rather than passively absorbing information.
I strive to create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, challenge ideas, and connect theoretical concepts to practical scenarios. By integrating real-world examples, technology, and diverse perspectives, I aim to make learning both relevant and enjoyable.
At its core, my teaching philosophy is student-centered. I recognize that every learner has a unique background, learning style, and motivation. By incorporating varied instructional methods—such as storytelling, problem-solving exercises, and hands-on projects—I ensure that learning is accessible, engaging, and meaningful for all students.
Ultimately, my goal is to inspire a lifelong love for learning, equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to navigate their careers and contribute meaningfully to society.
CURRENT RESEARCH INTERESTS/PROJECTS
My research pursuits are centered around leadership, with a specific focus on the darker aspects of leadership. I have recently published two papers exploring leaders' moral disengagement mechanisms and their coping strategies following abusive behavior towards employees. Currently I am exploring ethical consumer behavior.
PERSONAL INTERESTS/COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Serving as a reviewer for journals like the International Journal of Business and Management, Global Business Review and the Journal of Chinese Human Resources Management, I contribute to the academic peer-review process.
Beyond my professional endeavors, I find immense joy in spending quality time with my family. I love exploring new culinary adventures in the kitchen and taking leisurely walks in nature, drawn to its beauty and tranquility. In my downtime, I enjoy watching TV shows and movies with my husband. Additionally, I find fulfillment in caring for the feral animals in my neighborhood. As a new mom, most of my leisure time is now spent playing with and nurturing my newborn, a role that brings me endless joy.
