Edward J. Bysiek, CPA, adjunct instructor of accounting, presented a case study featuring a simulated audit of a not-for-profit hospital at the Western New York Business Research Consortium, held virtually on April 24.

 

Students studying accounting are now able to obtain a "real-world" experience in auditing before graduating, complete with the development of a set of workpapers that mirror those used by CPA firms throughout the world. 

 

The case study was accompanied by a paper co-written with students Dane Stropko, Maciej Danilewski and Chris Coates.
