PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
After working as a counselor for several years with children, youth, and families, I discovered my passion for teaching and research.

I am a Professional School Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor. I have worked in various settings from community outpatient clinics to public schools.

My roles have consisted of school counselor, district supervisor, counseling grant coordinator, research scholar, and counselor educator. My research interests include equity in education for underserved students, youth suicide prevention, and cultural considerations in school belonging.
