An article by Dr. Darwin L. King, professor of accounting, and Edward D. King titled "Recent Scams: Now Available in All Shapes, Sizes, and Colors" was published in the September 2020 issue of the Oil, Gas & Energy Quarterly. 

 

This article reviewed a wide variety of frauds from an IRS perspective for the period from January 2019 through April 2020. The frauds discussed in this article included those delivered by email, phone, and regular U.S. mail. Various phishing and identity theft schemes were by far the most common.
