			TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

    - Every student can learn, but every student does not learn in the same way. This is why differentiating instruction is so crucial to successful teaching.

    - Understanding that my students are first people, each with different abilities, backgrounds, interests, and goals, helps me to constantly strive to get to know them as people. This results in more effective teaching and learning because they know I care, and it makes them more likely to do the same.

    - Effort exerted is just as important as innate intelligence. If enough time and effort is put forth, even the worst math student can succeed in my class, and they know that I will work as hard as I can to help them to succeed.
