    • Assisted in various research projects including development and testing of monoclonal antibody stocks, and genetic engineering associated with postdoctoral projects on early development of Drosophila.
    • Management activities included all chemical and supply ordering, hazardous waste management, supervising student workers, supervising laboratory equipment maintenance and repair, and general creative problem solving.
  • Biological Technician GS-7 USDA, Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y. (1989-1990)
    • Assisted in research on barley yellow dwarf virus detection, and studies of viral coat proteins using standard techniques of molecular biology.
    •  Laboratory management duties included ordering, equipment maintenance, and record keeping.

    • Conducted water quality studies on waste water from plastics manufacturing, assisted in sampling water, fish, plant, and invertebrate life from lakes affected by acidic rain in the Pocono Mountains.
