December Recognition Ceremony

St. Bonaventure University celebrates graduate and undergraduate students who complete their degree requirements in the fall semester at its annual December Recognition Ceremony.

The December Recognition Ceremony is an opportunity for the university president, provost, members of the Board of Trustees, faculty members and others to formally acknowledge each student's accomplishments. A student and faculty member are chosen to address the degree candidates, their family members, friends, professors and others in attendance.

Graduates are not required to wear caps and gowns for this ceremony. We adhere to a semi-formal dress code, with suits and ties for men and appropriate attire for women. Graduates will be seated prior to the ceremony and will not process in.

A light reception in the atrium outside the theater will be held immediately following the ceremony.
