NOTE: Activities that result in academic credit toward a course, other than JMC 499/SC 499 (Comprehensive Experience), cannot be applied toward the 400-hour requirement.
On-Campus: Communications-related work for a student-run organization. Examples include, but are not limited to, internships with WSBU-FM, the campus radio station; The Bona Venure; the student newspaper; The Bonadieu, the yearbook; The Laurel, the campus literary magasine; or work as a member of the St. Bonaventure chapter of the American Advertising Federation.
Our students are required to have 400 hours of internship in order to graduate. We ask that internship advisers (those folks in the “real world” who supervise the students over the summer or during the semesters) complete the attached form for each student.
Charles Specht, '10, was an intern at NBC's Meet The Press while attending SBU.
