To raise awareness about homelessness and mental illness, a St. Bonaventure University honor society will host its annual Hut-A-Thon this week.
Phi Rho will be hosting the Hut-A-Thon Friday, Feb. 7, Saturday, Feb. 8, and Sunday, Feb. 9, in front of the Reilly Center. The event will begin at 2 p.m. Friday and will continue until 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
Phi Rho is the St. Bonaventure chapter of Chi Sigma Iota, the international honor society for students, professional counselors and counselor educators.
Members of Phi Rho will set up an actual hut and maintain it throughout the event. The monetary funds collected will be donated to the Genesis House, a homeless shelter in Olean, N.Y.
Students, faculty and staff can donate money at the hut during the three-day event.
For more information, contact Dr. Mary Olufunmilayo Adekson, faculty adviser for Phi Rho, at 716-375-2041 or at email@example.com
