Mar 16, 2022

Dr. Heidi Henry, an assistant professor in the counselor education program, has been elected the next secretary of the Association for Spiritual, Ethical, and Religious Values in Counseling (ASERVIC). She begins her term on July 1, 2022.

The ASERVIC is a national organization of counselors and human development professionals who believe that spiritual, ethical, and religious values are essential to the overall development of the person and are committed to integrating these values into the counseling process.

Association members appreciate diversity and respect the uniqueness of each person’s journey of growth, development, and transcendence.

Additionally, Henry, along with Fr. Naomi Timm-Davis of South Dakota State University, has co-authored an article titled "Using Career Values to Help Counseling Students Determine Their Best Fit," which appeared in the March 1 edition of Career Convergence, the monthly web magazine for career development practitioners and educators published by the National Career Development Association.
