O'Connor invited to join 2024 Catholic Partnership Summit

Fr. John O’Connor, guardian of St. Bonaventure Friary, has been invited to participate in the 2024 Catholic Partnership Summit, a three-day conference of leaders of the Catholic Church in the United States, to be held Feb. 28 to March 1 in Washington, D.C.

The theme of this year’s conference is “Expanding the Tent, Young Adult Leadership and Co-Responsibility in the Catholic Church.”

Some 225 leaders of the Catholic Church in the United States have been invited to participate in this year's gathering. They include:
  • Sr. Nathalie Becquart, undersecretary of the Synod of Bishops at the Vatican;
  • Fr. David McCallum, S.J., executive director of the Program for Discerning Leadership;
  • cardinals and archbishops from archdioceses and dioceses in the U.S.;
  • Catholic university presidents and representatives of the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities, and the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities;
  • leaders of major Catholic institutions including Catholic Relief Services, Conference of Major Superiors of Men, Leadership Conference of Women Religious, United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry, National Institute for Ministry with Young Adults, and Catholic Campus Ministry Association;
  • lay leaders from dioceses throughout the U.S.;
  • diocesan and religious order priests and brothers recognized as leaders in the American Catholic Church.
This is the third year that O’Connor has been invited to participate in the conference.
