THEO 362. Francis and the Franciscan Tradition

The spiritual movement initiated by Francis of Assisi has played a key role in the spiritual and intellectual life of the Catholic church from the Middle Ages to the present.  This course will examine the life of St. Francis and his impact on the church and the world.  The course will also look at some of the great Franciscan scholars like St. Bonaventure in order to explore the influence and applications of Fran- ciscanism to the modern world.
