School of Arts and Sciences

Two students walking on campus The objective of the School of Arts and Sciences is to afford a broad education in the cultural and scientific subjects.

While each department offers specific training in a particular subject to students desiring to major in that field, the arts curriculum as a whole is designed to acquaint the student with literature, art, language, history and philosophy, which largely form our cultural inheritance.

The science curriculum is designed to give a thorough education in the basic principles of the various sciences, as well as preparation for advanced study and research.
