JMC 101. Communication Today

An overview of the rapidly changing fields of journalism and strategic communication, their history and their relationship to society. Areas covered include newspapers, magazines, broadcasting, public relations, advertising and how those areas and others are impacted by the move to digital media. The beginning course for all Journalism and Mass Communication and Strategic Communication and Digital Media majors and open as an elective to all other students.
