EDUC 425. Organization and Assessment for Elementary Classrooms

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of measurement along with formal and informal assessment strategies that are developmentally appropriate, curriculum-specific, and incorporate an awareness of learning styles and multiple intelligences.  Authentic and performance assessments will be analyzed and constructed.  The course also develops the skills for managing instruction in a wide variety of learner groups and settings in elementary classrooms.  Course Field Block 2 taken concurrently with EDUC 401 and EDUC 430.
