The fourth annual Trashion Fashion Show will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, in the Rigas Family Theater of the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts.
The runway show is free and open to the public.
The Trashion Fashion Show is part of the Recyclemania initiative on the St. Bonaventure University campus, and Tread Lightly uses it as a means to demonstrate that there are multiple ways to incorporate recycling into your daily life. Tread Lightly is an SBU environmental club dedicated to raising awareness about issues such as recycling.
Throughout the month of March, Tread Lightly hosted several events as a part of Recyclemania to raise awareness about the necessity of recycling.
This year’s show will not only involve St. Bonaventure students but also students from local high schools. They will have the opportunity to make their own designs and sport them on the runway. All outfit designs must be made with 90 percent post-consumer materials, and no materials can be purchased for the event.
As the models sport their designs, they will have the opportunity to pose behind a silk screen so that the silhouette of their outfit shows before they walk out.
