Welcome to the
The Student Research & Creative Endeavors Exposition, or the Expo, is an annual celebration of exceptional mentored work by students in the St. Bonaventure School of Arts & Sciences. The SRCE Exposition is held in the Doyle Hall Trustees Room and Dining Room near the end of April. The entire campus is invited to view the projects. The Expo is organized by Dr. Chris Hill.

meritorious. Honors projects, student research projects, independent studies, and course projects are all welcome.
Participants summarize their work on 30-inch by 40-inch posters and display the posters at the Exposition. Presentation formats other than posters, but similar to posters, are also welcome. For example, Expositions have often featured paintings and drawings.
The projects in the Expo reflect not only the outstanding work of our Arts & Sciences students, but also the superb mentoring of our Arts and

Sciences faculty. The faculty mentors provide the frameworks within which the students excel and they champion their students' efforts by inviting the students to the Exposition.

Typically, the posters are on display for three days: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. On the Friday of the Exposition, a reception is held from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. During the reception, participants stand next to their posters or paintings and answer questions from admiring students, staff, and faculty. (However, students do not make formal presentations.) The Exposition’s reception is arranged to be that week's Friday Forum. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages are served.
Raison d'être and history
Why do we need an Arts and Sciences exposition? The School of Arts & Sciences is the largest of the four schools that comprise St. Bonaventure University. The school contains fifteen departments and nearly half of Bona's students major in at least one of the A&S programs. Simply put, each year there are so many excellent and varied projects by A&S students that a venue for exhibiting and celebrating these projects was imperative. Dr. Stephen Stahl, as Dean of the Schools of Arts & Sciences, conceived of the Exposition as such a venue in 2004.
The first SRCE Exposition was held in 2005 in the atrium of the Quick Center for the Arts. Since then, the Expo has grown each year with more participants and more visitors. In 2007, the Exposition moved to the more spacious Doyle Hall Trustees Room. By 2010, even the Trustees Room had become crowded, so in 2011 the venue was expanded to include both the Trustees Room and the adjacent Dining Room.
