Scholarships & Financial Aid

The information on this site will help you to see how affordable a St. Bonaventure University education can be. When you consider the generous academic scholarship awards and the availability of financial aid based on need, you will understand why the net price is so manageable.

Our Net Price Calculator gives you an estimate of your merit award, financial aid and net price.

St. Bonaventure University is a decision you can afford to make

Selecting the right school is important. Over a lifetime, the benefits of a quality college education will far exceed its costs. But we realize that cost is an important factor, so we offer aid based on need and academic performance, and we encourage all students to apply for financial aid.

Here's what you need to do

Our goal at St. Bonaventure is to make a private Catholic university education available to as many students as possible.

To be considered for need- or academic-based financial assistance, a student must first apply for admission.

We encourage each student to apply for need-based aid by submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) before the Feb. 15 priority deadline. There is no University-specific form or supplement to complete.  Read more about why it is important to file the FAFSA.

When you'll hear about aid

Applicants receive academic scholarship notification with their offer of admission to the University. Complete financial aid awards, including need-based aid, are mailed beginning in March for the earliest FAFSA filers.
