The St. Bonaventure Band and Concert Choir will perform in concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 26, in the Rigas Family Theater of the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts. The concert is free and open to the public.
The choir will perform a variety of religious songs, including Eric Whitacre’s “Five Hebrew Love Songs,” Vijay Singh’s “Carpenters of God” and a rendition of “Nearer My God to Thee” arranged by James Stevens.
The band will perform several marches by noted composers such as Karl King. Additionally, the band will play “Invicta” by James Swearingen and a classic piece, “A festival prelude” by Alfred Reed.
Kathryn Black directs the SBU choir, and Jason Fox directs the SBU band.
