Requirements for a Bachelor of Science in Sports Studies with a Focus on Social Foundations of Sport

Students in this cognate area will be able to perform as fitness, nutrition or sports consultants in private and public organizations; may provide assistance with special needs or institutionalized populations; serve as recreation therapists, vocational or school counselors, lobbyists, representatives of social groups; or find employment in a number of related fields.

Students will have experience in research and will be prepared to pursue advanced studies in human performance, kinesiology or the allied health professions.
