Additional Biographical Information:

Dr. Young is a licensed psychologist and a professor of Management Sciences. She is an internationally known researcher, author, and speaker on Internet addiction and online behavior. She has published numerous journal articles and books chapters and served as an expert witness regarding her pioneer research including testimony for the Child Protection Online Act Congressional Committee.


She is the author of "Caught in the Net," the first book on Internet addiction, translated in six languages; "Tangled in the Web;" and her most recent, "Breaking Free of the Web: Catholics and Internet Addiction." She serves on the editorial board for CyberPsychology & Behavior, Internet Health, and the Journal of Cyber Crimes and Criminal Justice. She has been an invited lecturer at dozens of universities and conferences including the European Union on Health and Medicine held in Norway and the First International Congress on Internet addiction held in Zurich.
