The 2009 Mt. Auction to benefit Mt. Irenaeus will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, in Doyle Hall on the St. Bonaventure University campus. Mass will be held at 5 p.m. in the University Chapel, Doyle Hall, followed by the auction/social at 6 p.m. in the adjacent Doyle Dining Room and Robert R. Jones Board of Trustees Room.
In its ninth year, the Mountain Auction has raised more than $219,000 to support the work of Mt. Irenaeus and the Franciscan friars who welcome people from all faith traditions. For the second year in a row, the auction is sold out.
The auction features an evening with more than 200 gifts, most offered by silent auction and a select few in an exciting, fast-moving verbal auction. Gifts can range from small appliances, sports memorabilia and gift baskets to vacation packages and weekend getaways.
Those who have made reservations: If your plans change and you find you are unable to attend the auction, please call the Mountain Office at (716) 375-2096 so the next person on the waiting list can be notified.
