Dr. Kathryn J. Andrews, assistant professor of elementary education, presented a paper at the annual conference of the Natural Start Alliance, an affiliate of the North American Association for Environmental Education.

The conference, held in August, focused on nature-based learning in early childhood education. It was held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Andrews' paper, "Young Children’s Everyday Science and Nature’s Role," will serve as the foundation to develop resources assisting educators in incorporating nature-based learning into a standards-based curriculum.
