REMINDER:
REQUEST FOR FACULTY AND STAFF PUBLICATIONS
We invite all faculty and staff with published books
or research, issued during the calendar years of 2011 and 2012, to
please send citations of your scholarly work by email to Rachel Farrell
(rfarrell@sbu.edu) by the end of February.
A Faculty Recognition Reception will be held in the main reading room of the
library sometime in March to honor all faculty and staff that have
had their scholarly works published. Specific details about the reception
will be released at a later date.
We request that anyone wishing to have their publications displayed at
the reception to bring those items to the office of the Director of the
Library,
to the attention of Tami Attwell (tattwell@sbu.edu),
specifying whether you want the materials returned to you after the
display or not. The
Library will try to purchase as many items as it can, obtain copies
of articles, and include all citations into a listing of faculty publications
on the Archives website. Thank you.

YOUR BONA PRIDE THIS WEEKEND
The St. Bonaventure Student Government Association (SGA) will be selling
SBU branded iPhone 4/4s/5 cases as well as Andrew Nicholson, "Defining
Our Legacy" t-shirts during this weekend's homecoming basketball game.
iPhone cases and Nicholson t-shirts will be available in the southwest
entrance of the Reilly Center starting at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
Both items
will also be available for sale outside of the SBU Bookstore during halftime.
The iPhone case and t-shirts are $10 each. iPhone cases will also be
for sale during the class of 2012 Rathskeller dedication at 6 p.m. today.
All proceeds benefit the SBU Student Government Association. If you have

MASS
SCHEDULED FOR HOMECOMING WEEKEND
This weekend there will be a special memorial mass
for Fr. Reginald Redlon, former President of St. Bonaventure at 3 p.m.
in the University Chapel on Saturday, Jan. 26, in place of the usual
4 p.m. Saturday Vigil Mass.
The normally scheduled Mass times at 10:30 a.m.
and 7 p.m. will continue on Sunday, Jan. 27.

QUALTRICS
SURVEY SOFTWARE WORKSHOP
The Qualtrics survey software workshop will take place from 1:30 to 2:30
p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, in the Library Instructional Lab. The presenter
will
be Mike Hoffman
from Technology Services.
Qualtrics is an extremely robust electronic survey software product that allows
you to collect and evaluate your survey research data. St. Bonaventure
has recently purchased a campus-wide license for Qualtrics. This workshop
is open to all SBU employees.
Topics for the workshop include:
• Create a survey (question types, skip logic, look and feel, working with blocks,
etc.)
• Distribute a survey (email, web, working with panels)
• Work with results
(reporting, exporting)
• Survey collaboration with others

Come on up to Mt. Irenaeus for some
fun in the snow, a home cooked meal and time for community and reflection. Vans
leave from the Thomas Merton Center at 4 p.m. today and return

BASKETBALL
GAME PARKING REGULATIONS
Due to the basketball game Saturday, Jan. 26, the Security
Department is asking for the cooperation of all students, faculty and
staff pertaining to the following:
• The outdoor basketball courts will be blocked off for parking all day Saturday.
Please do not attempt to park there or move barricades. Violators will be ticketed
and may be towed.
•
Anyone parking behind the Reilly Center (employee lot Q)
should move their vehicle by 1 p.m. Violators will be ticketed and may be towed.
•
Students
parking in the student parking near the Observatory (student lot G) should move
their vehicle by 11 a.m. Violators will be ticketed and may be towed. Security
parking details will be in place prior to all men’s home games and will only
allow A and B pass holders through the checkpoints.

The six-week study abroad program at Oxford University
will provide students with the opportunity to take a variety of St.
Bonaventure classes, taught by Oxford professors, in a learning environment
known to many as one of the most prestigious centers of education in
the world. There are undergraduate course offerings for students in
all majors and graduate course offerings for students in the IMC and
MBA programs. You’ll also have the opportunity to participate in a
variety of cultural and academic field trips, to places of interest
in the UK and in Europe, planned by your directors and your Oxford
professors.

GILMAN
SCHOLARSHIP FOR STUDY ABROAD
The Summer 2013 and Fall 2013 cycles for the Gilman
Study Abroad scholarships are now open and available to students at
www.iie.org/gilman.
The Gilman
offers awards up to $5,000 in grants for overseas study, along with
$3,000 foreign language supplements for
students studying lesser taught languages (Arabic and Chinese are on
the list).
Financial prerequisite: student must be receiving or be
eligible to receive a Pell Grant.
Deadline: March 4, 2013
Requirement: student must have applied for a summer or semester-long study abroad
program at the time of Gilman filing.
