ACADEMIC POLICIES AND PROCEDURES: WHAT FACULTY AND STAFF NEED TO KNOW

Breakfast Conversation sponsored by the Student Success and Retention Committee

The next Breakfast Conversation, on Friday, March 16, will address academic policies and procedures. Topics to be discussed include advising special populations (including athletes and international students), policies for academic review of students whose GPA falls below "good standing," "satisfactory academic progress" financial aid policies, and the information available to advisors.

This conversation is especially pertinent for advisors as they prepare to meet with students during the upcoming registration period, but should be of interest to all who interact with students.

This breakfast conversation is scheduled for 8 a.m. Friday, March 16, in the Doyle Dining Room. Breakfast will be ready by 7:45 a.m. and the session will end in time for faculty to meet 9:30 a.m. classes. Even if you can only come for part of the conversation, you are invited.

If you plan to attend the breakfast on March 16, RSVP to Barb O'Keefe (bokeefe@sbu.edu) no later than March 13, 2012.

Provost and VP for Academic Affairs
