Thomas Crino, a freshman at St. Bonaventure University, was honored Jan. 16 by Buffalo Bishop Richard J. Malone and the Pro-Life Office of the Diocese of Buffalo with the 21st Annual Pro-Vita Award at Divine Mercy Church in Niagara Falls.
Crino was chosen to receive the award — along with Caleb Beatty of Canisius College — because of the pro-life themes of their Eagle Scout projects. They were honored in the organization category.
The awards are intended to recognize people who have labored tirelessly for the pro-life cause and to give them strength, encouragement and support.
Crino is a 2015 graduate of Olean High School and a member of St. Mary of the Angels Church in Olean. His parents are Mark and Colleen Crino of Olean.
