The Center for Activities, Recreation and Leadership (CARL) provides students with the opportunity to attend on-campus events, participate in recreational activities and grow as individuals through different leadership programs.
We're located in the Sandra A. and William L. Richter Center on campus, where some of our many events take place.
The Campus Activities Board
(CAB), a part of CARL, coordinates the schedule of activities and events on campus. Open mic nights, organized bus trips and a campuswide kickball tournament in the spring are just a few of the things offered to our students throughout the year.
Not only do we offer many different club sports
opportunities, but with the central location of the Richter Center
, many of our students take advantage of the basketball courts, racquetball courts, rock wall, and weight and cardio equipment.
Through CARL, every student has the opportunity to develop leadership skills. Each year there is a year-long Freshman Leadership Program. Each student receives a mentor for support and participates in different leadership-developing activities such as team-building exercises, workshops, networking events and student leadership panels.
