Students from St. Bonaventure University planned activities and led the Franklinville PTO’s Sports Day on Saturday, Jan. 23. Approximately 30 elementary students attended the two-hour event. The elementary students loved spending time with the college students, and it appeared that the feeling was mutual, said Franklinville PTO members.
Two Franklinville Central School alumni and St. Bonaventure students, Matt Bacher and Tristan Slocum, were instrumental in leading the event and encouraging others to attend and help. This is the second year that St. Bonaventure has assisted with this event, and the Franklinville PTO hopes to keep this an annual tradition.
