Prelaw

The best preparation for law school is a high-quality liberal arts education where you can develop outstanding writing, communication and critical-thinking skills. As a St. Bonaventure prelaw student, you will take classes that will hone these skills.

Model United Nations gives students valuable hands-on experience. The St. Bonaventure Prelaw Program includes a combination of instructional and advisory activities that are designed to facilitate admission into law school and success once there.

You will have a prelaw advisor who is available from the start to guide and support you. You will also have the direction of top-notch faculty, no matter what major you choose. You will have the opportunity to get hands-on experience through participation in the SBU Prelaw Society, the Mock Trial Team, the Model United Nations and various legal internships. By the time you graduate, you will be fully prepared to apply to the law school of your choice.

St. Bonaventure University, with its innovative liberal arts core, its commitment to academic excellence, and its dedication to the Franciscan values of citizenship and service, provides a unique opportunity to acquire the skills, knowledge, and values that you will need to meet the challenges of law school and beyond.
