Requirements for a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education
The physical education undergraduate degree is registered in New York and accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).

* Three specific biology courses required, totaling 12 hours. BIO/BIOL 101, however, also satisfies a General Education requirement, and its hours are counted in that total.
*124 hours required for the Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. Courses may count in several categories.

Plan of Study for a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education
This sequence illustrates how requirements can be met in a four-year program. Changes in the sequence of the plan of study below may be desirable, but these must be made in consultation with the student's academic adviser. - Elementary and Secondary Field Blocks must be completed prior to student teaching. Field Blocks may be rearranged depending on semester of student teaching.
- Proof of lifeguard certification required by the end of the second year.
- Students must complete one course coded D (Diversity) and one coded W (Writing Intensive). See General Education requirements.
