The future of educational leadership

Transformational change in a school begins with one person. Through St. Bonaventure’s Educational Leadership (EDL) program, that one person is you.

At St. Bonaventure, we understand that our world needs school and district leaders who are trained in critical reflection and are dedicated to improving opportunities for all students. Our program is more than a certificate or advanced degree – we empower future leaders through critical inquiry, reflection and dynamic leadership strategies.

We offer three school leadership programs to help you lead your school and inspire your students:

Jandoli Institute will launch ‘Media Studies Across Disciplines’ project next week

    Jun 18, 2020

The Jandoli Institute will launch Media Studies Across Disciplines, a collection of research essays by St. Bonaventure University faculty members, next week.

“The essays connect different academic disciplines with the field of communication,” said Richard Lee, executive director of the institute and an associate professor in the Jandoli School of Communication. “Faculty members used their knowledge and expertise to provide insight and analysis from their own individual perspectives.”

The institute will post a new essay on its website every Tuesday, starting June 23 and continuing through Aug. 11. Several of the authors also will present their papers on Zoom in an academic conference format.

“The Zoom sessions will take place on Thursdays,” Lee said. “Authors will have 15 minutes to present their papers and will then engage in Q&A panel discussions.”

Faculty from biology, history, nursing, philosophy and sociology contributed to the project, which was funded by the Leo E. Keenan Jr. Faculty Development Endowment and the Jandoli School of Communication.

The Jandoli Institute serves as a forum for academic research, creative ideas and discussion on the intersection between media and democracy. The institute, accessible at jandoli.net, is part of the Jandoli School of Communication at St. Bonaventure University
