    Hauser gives presentation on disabilities to school students

    Dr. Rene' Hauser, associate professor of education, gave a presentation Dec. 9 on disabilities to the student body of Oswayo Valley High School in Shinglehouse, Pennsylvania.

    The presentation, tiled "Appreciating Disability," included statistics on the prevalence of disability, characteristics of several disabilities and information about how disabilities impact academic and social learning.

    Students also engaged in activities to experience what it may be like to have a reading disability and discussed how they can support their classmates with disabilities.
