I have successfully published over two dozen textbooks and books across health, health care, strategic analytics, statistics, and methodology topics. My authored texts include a nationally award-winning research methods text and a best-selling statistics textbook franchise. In all, my books are adopted at over 200 institutions that include Harvard, Stanford, Johns Hopkins, and Dartmouth. My texts are signed with major academic publishers that include signings with Lexington Books, SAGE Publications, and Oxford University Press.
My research is highly cross-disciplinary and collaborative, bridging knowledge creation for the management of health and health care across operational and clinical levels and for leveraging strategic analytics in health care settings. My work is highly cited in media and press to include Oprah’s Magazine, Time Magazine, and Wall Street Journal, with over 3 dozen peer-reviewed papers published across psychology and business. My research work has been presented at major national and regional conferences across psychology (e.g., APA, APS) and business (e.g., AOM). For all my work I embrace a faculty-mentored research model, having mentored dozens of research and capstone projects with 31 students publishing peer-reviewed papers under my advisement since 2011, and over 50 having presented at conference.
I serve on the Board of Directors for the Center for Women in Healthcare and Life Sciences (WIHLS): a global, non-profit, non-partisan research institute to advance opportunities for women in healthcare and life science industries.
I serve on the Board of Directors for Canticle Farm: a community-supported agriculture (CSA) farm in Allegany, NY.
I serve as regional co-coordinator for Toys-for Tots: a national not-for-profit program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve – distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas/holidays.
I am a veteran of the U.S. Marines and I am an identical twin – fun fact: my twin brother is a veteran as well [Sergeant Major, U.S. Army, retired], and now owns and operates a Chick-fil-a restaurant in the Midwest. My wife and I live in Great Valley, NY, with our son, Aiden Andrew, and daughter, Grace Ann.
