Br. Ed Coughlin, O.F.M., Ph.D., is sharing his expertise with the world.
St. Bonaventure University’s vice president for Franciscan mission has just released a
five-disc series — available in video DVD and audio CD or MP3 formats — titled “Enkindling Love: The Spiritual Journey of St. Francis according to Bonaventure.”
Through 12 scholarly lectures, Br. Ed gives particular attention to the image of St. Francis in “The Major Legend of St. Francis,” written by St. Bonaventure. His lectures explore the powerful question posed by Bonaventure: Do we wish to admire or to imitate Francis?
Br. Ed previously served as director of the Franciscan Institute, located at St. Bonaventure University, and as secretary of Holy Name Province. He earned a Ph.D. from Catholic University in 1975, an M.A. from Boston College in 1981, and a B.A. from St. Bonaventure in 1970.
Br. Ed is an expert on both Francis and Bonaventure and lectures in the areas of human-spiritual formation, spiritual direction, organizational development and Franciscan spirituality.
The five-disc set, which includes an electronic study guide, is available at https://www.nowyouknowmedia.com (search for Coughlin).
